1996 - 1999 Seasons

This Mirror Carp (below) I caught in Early August, 1996 and it weighed 28lb 10ozs and I caught it again the following weekend, from the same swim, with the same bait, but it had lost 4 ounces. The same weekend I caught another mirror which weighed in at 26lb and I also caught that fish the following weekend. Quite amazing I thought, the same pair of fish from the same swim using the same bait one week apart I shall have to get rid of that sweater, I've had it over 3 years now and it appears on nearly all of my pictures. Perhaps it is a lucky sweater!!

1998 Season

The carp pictured below weighed 29lb 12ozs and was caught from Baston Fen in Lincolnshire on the 25th July, 1998. It was caught on a 1 and a half ounce running led to a standard 9" long Merlin hooklink tied to a size 4 Drennan Boilie Hook with knotless knot and line aligner, with double strawberry 50/50 mix homemade boilies
